Getting Squared Away

In the Army, to be "squared away" or a "go" means that you're good on something. For example, "LT Stamps, that uniform is squared away." To not be squared away is to be a "no go" or to be told "wrong answer". For example, "Private Smith, are we supposed to wear the beret indoors? Wrong answer Private." These first few days have been spent getting us all squared away and ready to go with in-processing, uniforms, etc. Tomorrow will be the first day we're in our ACUs. I can't wait.
